Denise Prokopiuk is a trusted advisor and skilled negotiator who focuses on corporate, commercial, and real estate law.
In her corporate commercial practice, Denise handles syndicated loans, incorporations, corporate structure and reorganization, joint ventures, shareholder and partnership agreements, director issues, the purchases and sales of businesses and other business matters. She has been counsel for leading financial institutions and corporate borrowers on a vast range of banking transactions and strategic financial issues.
From the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial purchases to the sale of residential real estate, Denise has the skill and experience to assist with a broad range of real estate matters. She handles lease reviews, drafting, and negotiation, real estate developments, and the preparation and negotiation of land acquisitions and sales.
A member of the Indigenous First Nations Business Group at McLennan Ross, Denise’s clients cover a broad range of industries and business sectors, including institutional lenders, utility companies, provincial and federal governments, Fortune 500 companies, and other public and private entities. She also assists physician organizations and other professional and regulatory bodies across a wide range of professions.
With particular knowledge of the construction and oil sectors, Denise handles commercial construction projects and drafts and negotiates complex trade contracts. She acts as counsel to construction and oil field service businesses in acquisition and disposition of assets, subsidiaries, or divisions, tendering and procurement processes, and the review and negotiation of construction contracts for civil infrastructure, oil sands facilities, and other industrial projects.
