Gary’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, municipal law, insurance law and occupational health and safety (OHS) law.

Gary sat on the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) in Strathcona county for a number of years and has been involved in various hearings in front of the SDAB. He sought leave to appeal at the Alberta Court of Appeal on a decision related to Offsite Levies and is quite familiar with the appeal process. Further, he has advised clients on protracted and challenging development matters.
Gary is one of the few lawyers in Canada to have extensive experience as an Independent Supervising Solicitor and Counsel of Record for parties in Anton Piller Orders (civil search warrants).

He also has significant experience as lead counsel on numerous, multi-party, "high-stakes" litigation files and has pursued and defended numerous complex actions involving contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, commercial disputes, landlord and tenant matters as well as product liability cases.
