Bio
Darian is a student-at-Law in our Edmonton office.
Darian earned his Juris Doctor at University of Alberta where he achieved First Class Standing for one year. Additionally, he completed his Bachelor of Management Degree in Business Economics at University of Alberta, Augustana Campus in Camrose. While obtaining his bachelor’s degree Darian played five years of Collegiate Basketball. As an undergraduate, he made the Dean’s list for three years, first class standing for five years, and received the following awards: University of Alberta Academic Excellence Scholarship, CCAA National Scholar Award, T4K Undergraduate Leadership Scholarship, The Matthew J Ashton Leadership Prize, Thirst 4 Knowledge Undergraduate Leadership Scholarship, and University of Alberta Academic Excellence Scholarship.
During law school, Darian contributed to his student community as an Executive of the Law and Business Association. He was also a volunteer with Student Legal Services on both the Legal Education team and the Civil and Family Law Project.
Darian is passionate about giving back to the community, especially in the field of sports. He is the President of the University of Alberta Augustana Campus, Men’s Basketball Alumni Association. He has volunteered with Camrose Special Olympics basketball and soccer teams as a head coach. Additionally, he co-founded and managed the Group Athlete Mentoring Experience Program in Camrose, a mentorship relationship between the Augustana Men's and Women's Basketball Team and BGC Camrose.
Outside of law, Darian spends his time watching sports, playing video games, and spending quality time with friends and family. He also enjoys going for breakfast, finding the best coffee shops in Edmonton, and trying new craft beer.
