Bio
Justin is an articling student in our Calgary office. He studied law at the University of Calgary and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Queen’s University. Before law school, he also pursued graduate studies in neuroscience at Queen’s.
Justin brings several years of professional experience in healthcare. He spent nearly seven years with TotalCardiology, progressing from an administrative role to Project Coordinator and ultimately Lead, Health Informatics and Technology Solutions. In that role, he worked across physician offices, a diagnostic centre, cardiac rehabilitation and research operations, helping improve technology, workflows and reporting while working with physicians, management and other stakeholders.
During law school, Justin volunteered as a caseworker with Student Legal Assistance, where he gained experience with criminal and civil matters, including court appearances, reviewing disclosure, communicating with clients and the Crown, and developing case strategy. He has also volunteered with Calgary Roller Derby and the Calgary Humane Society.
Outside of work, Justin writes and performs music, playing guitar and singing backup vocals in a local band. He also enjoys travelling and has backpacked through Malaysia, Thailand and Laos.
