Kate Wegscheidler is a student-at-law in our Calgary office.

She holds a Juris Doctor from Thomson Rivers University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in International Relations from the University of Calgary, where she made the Dean’s list and received the Jason Lang Scholarship. Kate also has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Linguistics through the University of British Columbia where she received the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship.

During law school, Kate worked as a legal summer student at Petronas where she did work related to energy, environmental and Indigenous law issues. She also worked as a Research Assistant through the Thompson Rivers University Legal Clinic and assisted in advocating for the rights of tenants living in mobile home parks. Prior to law school, Kate worked as a Field Operations Supervisor with Statistics Canada. She was also a Policy Analyst Intern at The Gauntlet Publications Society, the University of Calgary’s independent newspaper.

In her free time, Kate enjoys practicing hot yoga, hiking, and travelling.
