Kevin relies on his breadth of experience in restructuring and commercial law to craft creative solutions for clients facing complex legal and financial problems.
Kevin is a knowledgeable restructuring lawyer with a wealth of experience in all aspects of commercial insolvency law. He regularly acts for creditors, licensed insolvency trustees, and debtors in various proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. Kevin has served as counsel to parties in restructurings involving the energy and energy services, real estate development, cannabis, retail, manufacturing, and private funds sectors.
Kevin also maintains a commercial litigation practice predominately focusing on shareholder disputes, civil fraud recovery, commercial mortgage and security enforcement, commodities contract enforcement, and private funds disputes.
In the course of his litigation and restructuring practices, Kevin has successfully advocated for clients before the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, the British Columbia Supreme Court, and various administrative tribunals.
Additionally, Kevin routinely advises clients in transactional matters involving sales of distressed assets, re-financings, and transactions requiring court-approved plans of arrangement.
