Matthew is a dedicated litigator committed to securing favorable outcomes for his clients. He balances a competitive spirit with a collaborative attitude to ensure his advice is clear, practical, and strategic.
Matthew’s practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation and insurance defence, serving individuals, small businesses, and major organizations. He has a variety of experience in related matters, including fire and property losses, personal injury claims, debt recovery, construction litigation, and contractual disputes. He has appeared extensively before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench.
Matthew also routinely acts for police officers in disciplinary and civil matters. He has experience defending allegations pertaining to improper use of force, harassment, discreditable conduct, and neglect of duty.
Matthew builds strong rapport with his clients by understanding their unique needs and delivering personalized, high-quality service to achieve the best possible result. He works diligently to simplify the process and guide his clients through each step.
Outside office hours, Matthew enjoys golf, hockey, racquet sports, and hiking. He has played hockey competitively and, during his undergraduate studies, competed as a student-athlete on the Western University Varsity Hockey Team.
