Nathanael believes the client’s best interests always come first. He is a lawyer who practices with empathy and integrity.
Nathanael’s practice includes labour and employment law and litigation. In his labour and employment practice, he has experience defending class actions against employers, including class actions related to COVID-19. Nathanael is skilled in preparing for arbitration hearings, considering thorough preparation to be essential to successful advocacy. He has worked on a variety of arbitration agreements concerning wage reopeners, conduct, dismissals, and grievances.
Nathanael’s litigation experience consists of both general civil litigation and commercial litigation related to manufacturing failures, slip and falls, and motor vehicle accidents.
He enjoys putting his strong litigation skills and significant trial experience to use with a keen understanding that, while some cases call for aggressive litigation, in others his client’s interests may be best served through negotiation and a settlement that minimizes costs. Clients can expect effective, efficient advice based on a practical and value-based approach.
Nathanael has honed his public speaking skills through participating on the Carleton University Debate team, Moot team (Osgoode Cup), and acting in numerous community theatre productions. He prioritizes community involvement participating in "Light the Night" for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada and volunteering with the Drop-in Centre in Calgary.
