Sarah Short, MBA

Highly driven and innovative, Sarah brings a wealth of experience in the legal industry to her role as Business Development and Marketing Manager. She excels at building strong client relationships and enhancing client service.

Sarah works closely with practice group leaders and individual lawyers to drive awareness of the firm’s resources and to ensure our clients benefit from the full range of those capabilities as they address their legal challenges. Her role includes identifying and overseeing opportunities for external marketing, writing and preparing proposals, conducting client research, identifying potential sponsorships, and serving as a strategic adviser on client experience best practices throughout the firm.

Prior to joining McLennan Ross, Sarah held a leadership position in legal marketing and business development. For more than a decade, Sarah has been responsible for helping law firms refine their marketing, communications, and business development efforts. With a natural aptitude for relationship building, she weaves her vast experience into her role to better serve lawyers and clients alike.

Sarah completed her undergraduate studies at Mount Allison University and earned an MBA from the University of Alberta in 2017. Always interested in continued education, she recently competed a change management series through the University of Alberta where she excelled in understanding the principles of Change Leadership, Organizational Change Management, and Managing People Through Change.

Sarah is the President-Elect for the Legal Marketing Association Canada Region, Chair of the Canadian Meritas Marketing Group, and is active as a representative for the firm's involvement with Advocates for Employers of Canada (AEC). An active community member, Sarah is the Vice Chair for the 124 Street Business Association. She is the former Chair of STARS Air Ambulance Pursenal Mission, former volunteer with YOUCAN Youth Services, as well as a former Board Member of New Music Edmonton.
