Sarra approaches legal problems with both analytical rigor and genuine curiosity about the people and circumstances behind them. With a background spanning law, moral philosophy, ethics, and formal logic, she brings a thoughtful and disciplined approach to complex legal issues, combining careful reasoning with practical, client-focused solutions.
Sarra maintains a broad litigation practice with experience in health law and medical defence, construction law, professional liability and disciplinary matters, education law, insurance defence, real estate disputes, and matters arising in Northern Canada.
She has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, and administrative tribunals. She has also contributed to appellate work, including preparing factums and supporting materials for matters before the Northwest Territories Court of Appeal.
Prior to entering practice, Sarra completed a Master's degree in Philosophy with a focus on moral philosophy and logic. She draws on that background and her extensive research experience to analyze difficult legal questions, develop persuasive arguments, and help clients navigate challenging disputes with clarity and confidence.
Sarra values building strong client relationships grounded in trust and clear communication. Whether working on a complex dispute or a sensitive professional matter, Sarra strives to provide pragmatic advice that is both legally sound and tailored to each client's objectives.
In addition to her practice, Sarra has contributed to legal, academic, and industry publications. Her writing includes articles on construction law and industry issues published in Alberta Heavy Magazine, philosophical scholarship published in the Canadian Philosophical Association Conference Proceedings, and a co-authored legal update for the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, "Liquidated Damages After Termination: Clarifying the Accrual End Point in Kuipers v NEP Limited GP Inc.”
Sarra is fluent in Croatian and Serbian.
