Collaborative by nature and decisive when necessary, Taylor focuses on the construction of a strong case from the start and places this objective at the forefront of every legal decision.
Taylor focuses his practice on commercial litigation and insurance litigation. He represents professionals, individuals, businesses, and institutional insurers in a wide range of disputes involving construction litigation, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, property and fire losses, professional negligence, judgment enforcement, and debt recovery.
An experienced trial lawyer, Taylor has acted as lead counsel at trial and guided clients through every stage of the litigation process, including enforcement. He has also been involved in other trials ranging in length of one day to months long. Taylor has also represented clients in contested injunction applications, contested civil contempt applications, summary judgment applications, and other applications for pre-judgment relief. This courtroom experiences provides the experience needed to develop focused, practical litigation strategies to help clients win or resolve even the most complex legal disputes.
Taylor has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta, the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and in arbitration proceedings. He is a member of McLennan Ross’ student hiring and professional development committees.
