McLennan Ross wins 2011 Lexpert Zenith Award

We are pleased to announce that we have won a 2011 Lexpert Zenith Award for Environmental Action by a Law Firm - External for our creation of the Alberta Emerald Foundation. The Alberta Emerald Foundation was created 20 years ago by McLennan Ross lawyers  Ron Kruhlak, Rod McLennan and Bill Rosser. In 1991 the foundation teamed up with Deliotte and Touche Chartered Accountants and Alberta Environment to establish the Emerald Awards.

Today the Emerald Foundation is a thriving organization with dozens of sponsors, a full-time executive director, a student intern, and a number of new programs. There have been 1700 positive environmental stories told through the program's nomination process. It is our hope that by providing a means with which to share these success stories, will encourage others to participate, thus helping all Albertans benefit from a healthier environmentally secure future.
