Anthony is a partner in the McLennan Ross Edmonton office focusing on insurance, commercial litigation and occupational health and safety. Anthony endeavors to provide strategic and practical advice to resolve matters effectively and he has been successful in mediations, pre-trial conferences, judicial dispute resolutions, chambers and trials.

  • Represented an individual in a claim involving a trip and fall down a flight of stairs at an acquaintance’s home.
  • Represented an individual in a claim against a department store with respect to an item falling from a shelf and resulting in a minor traumatic brain injury.

Anthony’s represents insurers and individuals with respect to auto policies, property, CGL and disability issues. Anthony’s experience includes acting as defence counsel in first and third party claims involving liability and quantum disputes. As coverage counsel, Anthony advises his clients on issues that include the WCB bar to action, section B, failure to disclose a material change in risk, misrepresentation and defamation.

Anthony provides opinions to insurers on topics such as coverage issues, liability, and claims falling under the Workers’ Compensation Act.

  • Represented a physician with a successful summary dismissal application involving claims of causation of injuries following a surgery.
  • Assists senior counsel in conducting examinations, quantum assessments and liability assessments.
  • Representing a surgeon in a summary dismissal application to dismiss the plaintiff’s claim of negligence and breach of trust.
  • Defended an accountant with respect to restrictive covenants and allegations of soliciting clients from a prior employer.
  • Represented a large construction company with respect to claims of the alleged wrongful dismissal of an employee.
  • Advises employers on situations involving reasonable notice periods or pay in lieu.
  • Represents employers and employees concerning issues including termination, wrongful dismissal, reasonable notice and restrictive covenants.
  • Represents organizations in applying to dismiss claims for long delay of lawsuits that have not advanced in an appropriate amount of time.
  • Represented a commercial tenant in a lease dispute involving the right to occupy a space and expect peaceful and quiet enjoyment.
  • Represents builders in contract disputes involving manufacturers, distributers and consumers.
  • Represents a steel building erector in a contract dispute with respect deficient supplies.
  • Represents and advises manufacturers in defending product liability claims.
  • Represents and advises corporations in litigation involving contract bids and Requests for Proposals.
