Matthew aims to serve as a resource to clients in support of thoughtful, tailored problem-solving. He is recognized for his strong quantitative analytical skills.
Matthew’s practice focuses on corporate commercial law, insolvency and debt collection, and real estate. He has experience assisting small businesses and entrepreneurs with contract drafting, share transfers, leases, and general business needs.
Prior to completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta in 2020, Matthew earned a Bachelor of Commerce, also from the University of Alberta.
While in law school, Matthew was actively involved with Student Legal Services where he assisted low-income individuals with civil and family-related legal questions. Matthew also volunteered as Treasurer with Students for Wishes, a student group at the University of Alberta supporting the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
In addition to his volunteer work, Matthew’s past work experience includes legal research for Alberta Investment Management Corporation and residential real estate conveyancing.
