Eden Giese

Eden is a Student-at-Law in our Calgary office.

Eden earned her Juris Doctor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She previously earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from MacEwan University, where she majored in Marketing and graduated with distinction.

Eden’s professional experience includes working as a summer student at McLennan Ross. She gained valuable experience drafting collective agreements, providing case-briefs, drafting legislation summaries, and executing various research tasks. Eden further refined her research skills as a Legal Researcher for an Edmonton investment group. She was regularly tasked with reviewing contracts and technology license agreements. 

While in law school, Eden worked as a Legal Research Assistant. In this capacity, she researched and interpreted caselaw, including Supreme Court cases. She also had the opportunity to read, summarize, and critique legislative Bills, including Bill C-15, Bill C-62, and Bill 41, which all pertain to the declaration of the rights of Indigenous peoples in Canada.

An active community member, Eden has previously volunteered her time as a Clinic Volunteer with the Elizabeth Fry Society Pro Bono Placement in Halifax. She also spent many years as a design set-up volunteer for the Festival of Trees in Edmonton, helping to raise money for the community.

Outside of law, Eden enjoys traveling, soccer, basketball, yoga, water skiing, and snow skiing.
