Mac Stephen

Mac is a student-at-Law in our Calgary office.

Mac earned his Juris Doctor at the University of New Brunswick, where he concurrently earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) finishing on the Dean's list. He previously completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Calgary, graduating with distinction in Political Science.

Mac’s professional experience includes a Summer Student position with a boutique family law firm, where he gained valuable litigation experience drafting court documents, attending court proceedings, and conducting legal research on high-conflict divorce and child custody files. Mac continued in this role until the following summer when he joined an international energy company as a Summer Student. In that position, Mac prepared internal updates and case briefs in constitutional law, aboriginal law, regulatory law, and corporate law.

While in law school, Mac volunteered with the National Canadian Lawyers Initiative, an access to justice initiative that provided pro bono legal services to people impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. He also acted as an Associate Appeals Officer for the University of New Brunswick Student Union and participated in the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada.

In his free time, Mac enjoys watching hockey, trying new restaurants, skiing in the Rockies, and walking his parent’s dog – Gracie.
