The Costs of Raising an Unwanted Child - Are These Really Damages?

"A recent decision of the Alberta courts has again highlighted the difficulties inherent in medical/legal actions involving
children whose births allegedly should have been prevented.

The actions either arise as a result of damage to the child born with birth defects (the birth, but not necessarily the birth  defects, were alleged to have been caused by negligence) or from the fact that the child is not wanted."
