Erin is a reliable and skilled trial advocate who leverages her considerable experience and legal knowledge to find creative solutions for a range of complex and challenging matters. 

A trusted advisor to individuals and organizations alike, Erin’s practice encompasses commercial litigation, employment, and insurance & risk management. In her commercial litigation practice, Erin advises and represents parties on a wide range of general litigation matters, including disputes relating to oil and gas, construction, professional liability, partnership and shareholder disputes, and real estate. Her unique knowledge base also includes alleged breaches of trust and fiduciary duty, as well as estate litigation claims.

In her employment practice, clients rely on Erin’s advice for issues relating to wrongful dismissal, human rights, employment standards, workers' compensation, and other employment related matters. She works closely with clients to draft, implement, and modify employment policies and contracts to reflect the culture of the business and limit liability. Erin has an impressive track record for defending and advising employers in human rights complaints before the Human Rights Commissions of Alberta and Saskatchewan. In these matters, she has represented clients from various industries, including construction, education, and non-profits.

Erin's insurance defence and other representative work includes claims involving serious and catastrophic personal injuries, loss of dependency, SEF 44, property losses, minors’ property, as well as advising on coverage issues related to automobile and commercial general liability policies and directors’ and officers’ liability.

A dependable ally in and out of the courtroom, Erin is well-versed in all aspects of litigation, including dispute resolution processes. Erin has appeared before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia and all levels of Court in Alberta. She has also appeared before administrative tribunals in British Columbia and Alberta, including the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal and the Appeals Commission for the Alberta Workers’ Compensation Board.

Principled and independent, Erin applies her experience and extensive legal knowledge as an integrity commissioner for a local municipality where she is responsible for investigating Council Code of Conduct complaints against Council Members. Erin is able to apply her experience and proficiency in conducting thorough investigations in this role to workplace investigations, an area she also has a particular interest in.

Erin has a diverse background that governs her approach to practicing law. Her education and experience in the social work field give her a holistic understanding of some of the factors that drive conflict and litigation, allowing her to provide strategic and dynamic advice and representation to her clients. 

Erin frequently presents at the McLennan Ross Labour & Employment and Insurance Law Year in Review seminars, in addition to in-house seminars and webinars on employment, civil litigation and insurance matters.
