Marc’s practice is defined by the breadth of his commercial litigation, insurance law experience, and his collaborative, client focused approach. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver strategic, practical solutions grounded in a deep understanding of each client’s business and objectives.

Marc is an experienced commercial litigation and insurance lawyer, advising insurers and businesses across a range of industries, including financial services, oil and gas, and construction.

Marc's insurance practice includes a focus on complex coverage opinions and coverage disputes, as well as the defence of property and casualty claims. He is also experienced defending insureds in complex, multi‑party litigation, including class actions.

He regularly acts for insurers, insureds, and financial institutions on commercial liability matters, errors and omissions claims, product liability disputes, fire losses, insurance coverage issues, retail banking disputes, commercial lending litigation, broker and dealer liability, and civil fraud claims. He also serves as independent counsel to professional regulatory bodies, supporting their disciplinary and governance mandates.

Marc understands that each business and dispute is unique. By prioritizing strong relationships and understanding the people behind every file, he gains the insight needed to advocate effectively. This people-focused approach leads to practical and efficient resolution strategies.

Marc regularly appears on matters before the Alberta Court of Justice, Court of King's Bench of Alberta and Court of Appeal of Alberta. He also volunteers his time acting as King's Bench Amicus Counsel and the Small Claims Duty Counsel.
