McLennan Ross is pleased to welcome Partners Tanya Frizzell, Marc Matras, and Peter Morrison, to the Calgary office.
Tanya’s practice is dedicated to insurance defence and commercial litigation. She brings 25 years of litigation experience, offering counsel and strong advocacy in insurance and risk management, personal injury, and sophisticated commercial disputes. She assists clients with navigating complex challenges and achieving positive results.
Whether Tanya is advising clients on construction, product liability, or professional negligence, her approach is collaborative, aligning strategy with clients' objectives. Her practice also supports clients by using alternatives to resolve disputes and avoid more costly litigation.
Marc is an experienced commercial litigation and insurance lawyer, advising insurers and businesses across a range of industries, including financial services, oil and gas, and construction.
Marc's insurance practice includes a focus on complex coverage opinions and coverage disputes, as well as the defence of property and casualty claims. He is also experienced defending insureds in complex, multi‑party litigation, including class actions.
In addition to his litigation and insurance work, Marc acts as independent legal counsel to professional disciplinary bodies, providing objective advice for hearings and appeals.
Peter has a well-rounded practice that delivers strategic advice and effective representation across a variety of insurance and commercial litigation matters.
His insurance experience includes fatality claims, SEF 44 matters, occupiers' liability claims, property losses and condominium issues, catastrophic personal injury claims, product liability, professional liability claims, professional negligence claims, and commercial host claims.
Additionally, Peter has defended provincial regulators against claims, and various litigation matters in the financial sector.
