Intellectual and incisive, Rebecca excels at moving matters forward. She holds numerous degrees and certifications, signifying her commitment to both the study and practice of law. She applies her extensive educational background to her Management Side Labour and Employment practice.

Whether advocating for clients, or bringing her skills and abilities to community volunteerism, Rebecca is connected – with her clients, with the community, and with her colleagues.
Rebecca regularly advises private and public employers in diverse sectors in day-to-day labour relations matters, collective agreement interpretation, collective bargaining, and in both grievance and interest arbitrations. She also frequently advises clients on policy development and implementation, hiring, employment and independent contractor agreements, discipline and dismissal including severance agreements, human rights, disability and illness management, performance management systems, privacy matters, and workplace investigations. Recognizing that these matters can be protracted and carry liability for her client, Rebecca's endurance, together with her legal advocacy, strategic risk assessment and negotiation skills, are highly regarded and appreciated by clients and colleagues.
Rebecca has a strong business background which includes managing several high-volume fashion stores, and an appointment as a recruiter with an international staffing and talent management agency. Her business experience continues to guide her in resolving disputes for her clients in a pragmatic and cost-effective manner. In Rebecca, clients have an ally dedicated to understanding their business, their needs, and their people – and she has the skills to advocate, litigate, and persuade.
Rebecca has appeared before the Alberta Court of King's Bench, the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Workers’ Compensation Board and boards of arbitration. She represents clients in a variety of sectors, including having acted for business, manufacturing, healthcare, municipal, not-for-profit, and social service organizations.
Rebecca is a member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Labour and Employment Section, and a member of the Association of Civil Trial Lawyers (ACTLA). In her spare time, Rebecca is the President-Elect of Temple B’nai Tikvah Synagogue. Rebecca is a contributing author to the Lexis Nexis publication of International Employment Law. She was also a long-time volunteer with the Calgary Stampede's Western Legacy Committee and was proud to have received the 2019 Community Partnership Award from the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter (now known as FearIsNotLove). Less well known is that Rebecca was a long-time member of the Young Canadians School of Performing Arts, and an accomplished debater and writer.
